We had ordered takeout from Sher e Punjab when the restaurant was under a different name and ownership. The food was good before but the service was hit-or-miss. We had a good experience this time. The gentleman on the phone was very helpful and patient sorting our options, and our order was hot and ready at the right time. We tried to get our kids to try something new so they ordered lamb gyros - our older daughter had it with rice and our younger son with a pita. Neither was a hit with the kids but our son actually was really into my wife's chicken tikka with rice. That was good, but she didn't understand the menu well enough to realize that it wasn't served with any kind of sauce - just seasoned chicken on rice. But both she and my son enjoyed it and it there was enough for both of them. The chicken korma I ordered was spot-on delicious, and, being hungry, I polished off my son's lamb gyro on pita. I thought the gyro was a little on the dry side, but the sauce and vegetables on it were good, so I still enjoyed it. We also ordered samosa chat as an appetizer and that was really, really good. We'll have to keep exploring a bit to have our kids learn and grow into eating what's available without just falling back on chicken fingers, but my wife and I do look forward to making Sher e Punjab our go-to for our south Asian cuisine fix in the future.
Authentic, delicious Punjabi food made fresh. We had dietary restrictions for one in our party and they were very accommodating and made it perfectly to order. Amritsari Fish, butter chicken and paneer purji all tasty and just like home-made. Will be our regular Indian delivery from now on.
Wow, the food is delicious. We ordered a lamb & kebab over rice, falafel gyro, and a samosa chaat - food was perfectly cooked. Called for delivery and food came super fast. But the only thing that would cost a star is that their food is too salty. Love it. Would order again (and tell them about the salt).
